Colin Marsh - Cycle Ride to Romania! PDF Print E-mail

In 2015 Colin Marsh, a retired church minister from Gillingham (Dorset), completed an extraordinary marathon cycle ride across Europe to raise funds for the charity.

Colin has been a friend and supporter of Little John’s House since 1996 when he spent six weeks working on maintenance projects in the home. Always a keen long distance cyclist, he is very eager to undertake the ride aiming to raise £10,000 for the charity in support of its future plans.

Colin cycled from England all the way to Little John's house! He left Dover for Dunkirk, before heading for Rotterdam then following the River Rhine to Mainz, Germany. He then made his way along the River Main, the Main-Danube Canal and then the River Danube through Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary to Budapest and then to Sibiu.

In total Colin cycled an amazing 1900 miles passing through eight countries: France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
