In August last year, Mags and Liviu’s son Alec was killed in a horrific accident. He had grown up alongside the young people of Little John’s House and spent every summer helping out at Summer School. He was like a brother to the residents and a great friend to many of the beneficiaries. His passion for the ongoing work of the charity was evident.
For that reason, Mags, Liz, Ailsa and Nicky are taking on the Thames Path Challenge to try and raise vital funds to keep the charity going. The aptly named ‘Walkie Talkies’ will be attempting to cover the 100km route in 24 hours! Any support you feel you can give them will go a long way to keep them going – especially in the wee hours of the morning, where conversation and energy may have run out!
